Deacon James E. High united with Greater El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in the late 1960’s under the leadership of Rev. F. D. Davis
where he served in the Gospel Chorus. After the demise of Rev. Davis, he continued his dedication to his church under the direction of
Dr. C.C. McNealy, Jr. where he served faithfully, and was then ordained as a Deacon of the church. Deacon High is a dedicated, dutiful and
Faithful member of our Church Family. This was acknowledged by our current Pastor, Dr. William D. McNealy who assigned him as
Chairman of Deacons and into the Finance Ministry. He is a committed man of God, and he is shadowed by one of his favorite scriptures, which reads:
“Let your light so shine before Men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven” Matt. 5:16
